some pics of cars from today, more the historic motorsport I'm afraid, glad the weather held out, just the odd minor drizzle

seriously? I spoke to my mother in Chichester and it poured all day! I didn't go to avoid a drenching and mudbath car park!

Looking forward to going tomorrow - Or I hope so as just had this from them…

An important message from the Festival of Speed organisers. We are monitoring the adverse weather warnings forecasted for tomorrow (Saturday 15 July). Please keep an eye on our social media channels and website for further updates and check before you travel.

seems that way with you lot banging on about torrential rain
take a look at the footage of the day on the FoS streaming site, lots of cars splashing up the hill (some sideways) and bikes not allowed to run in the morning. Great that you missed all that! Had I made the 90 minute drive each way, I doubt my luck would have been the same. The Earl of March seems to organise incredible weather every year in September for the Revival. Special deal done??

will do, i actually took my Disco today thinking it was going to lashing down and car park a mud quire, experienced that a few years ago, but all good, think the weekend could be bad, march may have to break out his big tractors to pull cars out

I reckon you were at another event! Just received this from a friend who was there. I asked if he went '
Wish I hadn’t though as wasn’t feeling the best and it literally didn’t stop raining the whole day. Thankfully we were in an X7! ‘The Somme’ aka our car park was no trouble but we had great fun watching everyone else skid and slide all over the place.
You made the right choice not to go!
Perhaps it was like Spa, raining at Stavelot, dry at Eau Rouge!

Our local bi annual music festival (Garstonbury) has been postponed from tomorrow to Sunday for safety reasons too!

I appreciate I don't have to organise this stuff, but really?

What actually are the odds of someone getting injured compared to the day to day odds?
