I had a couple of 156. Both great. 2l TS and a 2.5 V6 Both with the tea-tray, blue metallic and tan leather interior (which I retrofitted to the V6)

Drove the V6 back from South London in 5th, not knowing it had a 6 speed box

Great cars but also a long history of Alfa ownership

C

Isn't the blue called Vela Blue? Or is that just the GTV 'blue'?

So it arrived today and the sun shone:)

Took it for a spin. I’d forgotten how light and nimble a GS feels when compared to a Strad. The performance is more accessible and manageable, and the car is instantly just fun to drive. They a
really are so very different from each other.
I can see that having the GS as a daily is definitely going to play a big part in turning the winter of discontent into the summer of love.

Agree with your sentiments every time I jump into mine. Gives it a unique place in the collection

Is that GS running stock suspension settings Ewan? It looks spot on fitment wise. Really sits well and looks great.

It was always an issue I had with a stock 4200 suspension setup as they look silly high. I had Aldous revise my 4200 to match GS spec.

I believe so. It had new front springs fitted last week at Autoshield so Marios would have re-set it then. I made no special request so assume it was set to standard spec. Looks right to me, and still easily clears the speed bumps on the school driveway.
