Firefighters Feelings?????

I am a retained firefighter in my local town and recently the Fire Brigades Union has won a ruling that if we joined the old pensions scheme we can stay in that instead of being forced into the new scheme where you pay more, work longer and receive less at the end.
Anyway I received an email yesterday going through a lot of BS but one of the lines is below, I cannot believe this isn't a joke? What is the world coming to?

Further there may be other issues relating to remedies to be resolved, for example in regards to claims for injury to feelings.

Both the firefighters judgment and that of HMCTS are ones I have been keeping an eye on as they impact on most Civil Service pensions.

I too am hoping that, as the claims are the same, I will be given the same treatment as those who were older than I, and for that reason only, maintain a far better pension.

As for feelings... I don't have any... ask any of my ex's.

Wow that's a new one! Not sure how you would ever quantify "hurt feelings". I would love to see that issue play out in court. I don't mean to make light of this, because there are legitimate cases regarding mental cruelty in this crazy world where one party dominates another, etc. But that particular verbiage is quite ambiguous.

Wonder if as an ex serviceman I can claim retrospectively.....

Can't claim that. I was in the God's Great Royal Air Force. Commands were along the lines of 'If it's all right with you, would you mind awfully fixing the radar, it's gone terribly fuzzy...'
