I was spoilt as a youngster and received a brand new, gold X1/9 with a cream, leather interior as an eighteenth birthday present.
How I didn't kill myself driving it, I'll never know. But , I'd have one now at the drop of a hat.

It was fantastic fun to drive. But, the build quality was terrible. It was forever overheating, i had at least five radio cassette players fitted, none of which worked, three clutches and on one occasion the gear lever came loose in my hand.
How I didn't kill myself driving it, I'll never know. But , I'd have one now at the drop of a hat.
