Knock yourself out, it's back on ebay ,£5200 at the moment

People would certainly notice you in it.

I've got a friend who's a car guy , currently has a lexus , he's just had a windfall from his late wife's underpaid pension , he's 82 , it's being sold locally by a bmw main dealer 100076

I'm not having much success though, every time I see him all he talks about is the 65mpg his lexus hybrid does

I don't think the yank tank would actually suit my needs. And as for the GT, I wouldn't again. Can't shake the feeling that I had a lucky escape. It cost me over a ton to tank the Jaaaaag on Wednesday to get to Leeds and it's now at under 1/4. Clearly I'm not paying for all of that but I imagine the GT would have needed more unleaded in Leeds.

OTOH the office underground car park and lift would have been epic
OTOOH they would have been even more epic in my old Granturismo.....(which is currently up for sale)

With regards to the 400, it’s a project someone would need to take on for love, rather than any possible profit. A new exhaust alone is £7k inc Vat and fitting. If it needs an engine rebuild, that‘ll be £25k. At the very least it‘ll need a raft of new gaskets, hoses, bushes, etc. A bare metal strip for body repairs and a repaint is another £25k - and replacement glasses is fearfully expensive if you break the screens while removing or re-installing.
Surprisingly the interior looks okay, leather wise. But it’ll need new carpets, at £2k (a job I had done on mine just last week).
It’s the sort of car where the restoration costs could spiral very quickly, so very much “buyer beware”.

Wouldn't be surprised if a 'Yoo Toober' buys it for yet another - 'I bought the cheapest............'

Perfect candidate for an LS swap, restomod. It's worth little anyway and could be very cool with modern running gear, suspension and brakes. It's only sacriledge if the other option is breaking it for parts.
