OMG, just fitted my FD DBW module, All i can say is what a difference. Next to no lag when pulling away and blistering quick changes, and no need to push sport straight away, especially usefull with the rain and subsequent road conditions we have had here today.

Had the module in the garage ready to fit, and car back yesterday after a short spell in the garage, so had trouble sleeping, so started installing at midnight, completed wiring about 1 am, but had to wait till later today to try out the install. well worth the money. will post some pics of install soon.

Aliquot,

I look ofrward to seeing and hearing more about your FD DBW module...its probably the one thing I want more than anything else...quicker gear changes and and better health for the clutch hopefully...

Worth noting that the DBW module comes with a switch and pre-ordered configuration. Mine is pre-configured with two modes: 'aggressive' and 'very aggressive'; however I imagine many might prefer simple on-off functionality.
A 'valet' option is also available I believe, to prevent other drivers from ragging the car (unless of course they know what the switch does ...)

A timely posting - having bought my DBW a few months back, I have at last had it fitted - picked the car up today.

Double OMG!! Mine is actually configured for the 6-speed manual rather than CC but still a marked improvement in power pick up - its truly blistering! Thank god for some decent long straight roads here in Dubai.

This is a fantastic bit of electrical / electronic marvelry(?!) that IMHO is a must have. The unit is tucked away behind the glove compartment and then 2 switches concealed just above the bonnet release on the other side. Three switch options: off, part on, full on. And it sure sings a nice tune in full on.

Highly recommended!

Sorry to confuse.... 2 switches - mounted side by side.

1. Off Off - normal
2. On Off - agressive
3. On On - very agressive

I guess its the same as yours..

And I retract my "Double OMG" - obviously I'm just a wus :sad1:

Hi Aliquot, All,

Thanks for the tip on the switches for the DBW - you are correct and no I don't have the ECU mod installed. Unfortunately I was going on what the garage that did the installation told me but have since confirmed with Jeff that its only the one switch that has effect. Still the result is fantastic - a seriously good upgrade!

Thanks!
