Lil Bit at the wheel...and, "Surprise, a Spyder got dropped off while you were in yet another meeting..."
Hi Den
Two Maseratis!!
I notice on the other forum you were discussing the Spyder roof problems. At the moment mine is working and the roof is tear free but when I drop the top as they say when it’s folding up going past the roll hoops it makes a noise like it’s getting caught on the r/h side roll hoop as it folds down. Could it be a slight misalignment do you reckon?
Thanks
Mark

Hey, Mark...! Yeah, that and also the strap tension/location on that side. I literally had to "hand fold" mine as it lowered while working out all the kinks. Which, again...aren't completely worked out. And I have the nifty tears at the pinch point. Since my top has the glass rear window I am gonna let a professional upholstery shop take care of that (once I get all the mechanicals addressed).

The saving grace is that my LH fuel pump is leaking, so I am getting ready to be alllll inside the capote stuff...

Thanks Den.
I was looking at the price of tops and saw this firm in the States that seemed reasonable for glass window top.

Thanks for the tip, brother...hadn't gotten that far yet! There's (as luck would have it) a really solid upholsterer right around the corner, so I was gonna start there. But that price looks pretty darn good!
