Has anyone raised a change request?
It's form, fit and functional replacement so no need for a CR. If someone takes my Mrs to the bar she'll ignore the need for RAMS. But we'll have a tool box talk on batteries and their hazards.
And For disposal of the old one, we have a battery disposal box at work. I'll even get the WEEE waste certificate.

Looks like my battery is called Lazurus, so I'll just have to lug around the other as a spare, which may not be a bad thing.

Not sure you'll need it

Martin won't make it to the end of his first sentence before the snores start.

I managed to stay awake when we were learning about Li-ion in Italy a few weeks ago, but I think this might be a special case! :p

I’m bringing it!

I’ve read that AGM batteries require a specific type of charger. My charger has switches for gel/lead and fast/trickle. Can I use it to charge an AGM?

Maybe. Check the voltage on fast charge, as long as it is at the top end for std batteries (over 14.5v) then it should be ok, however there is a but. AGM needs a lower float voltage (the voltage the charger provides once the charge is complete). If you have too high a voltage is provided this will lead to the sulfation mentioned above. So, as long as you disconnect once charged you should be fine.
