Sorry but I just need to vent......
I was watching the F1 Show yesterday and whilst Natalie Pinkham was interviewing Sergio Perez, she made a quick reference to the speed at which the F1 tickets had sold for the Mexican GP when they were released this week.
What????
I immediately went to the F1.com site to check (as I'd left my email address so they could inform me prior to the tickets being released). It still asked for my email details only, no tickets yet to purchase.
Then today, whilst watching qualifying, another comment was made so I did some digging and found the Ticketmaster website for Mexico. Sure enough, tickets for the F1 were basically sold out for all grandstands. I have already paid for my hotel room (no refund), flights, transportation etc, all I needed was to buy my tickets for the GP. And now they're sold out?????
I eventually tracked down a VIP ticket for the Legends Hospitality grandstand but at a ridiculous cost (US$3,099) but hey, at least I have a ticket.
Thankfully the USGP hasn't cost me a small fortune!!!
What happened to the F1.com website? By the time the tickets are supposedly 'released', there won't be any left other than general admission or Paddock Club.
Grrrrrrrr
