F1 channel on SKY starts today

Fir anyone can get it channel 408 started today...Some great footage from 1967 and on.......Interviews etc....Worth a look....

I take it you have to have Sky Sports to view it?

I heard a rumour you just needed Sky and not the Sports package, but I can't see that happening.

So here is to endless runs of races of old.

You need SKY Sports or Sky HD......Adding HD to my cheapest sky package was £10 a month so went for it..If it was any more than £10 I would be watching it on BBC...

Im in a quandry here , and it really goes against the grain to have to pay Sky ,its not so much the tenner a month its the thought that for 4 months of the year your paying for nought , reckon im gonna be tossing a coin as to whether i cough up , its one of my necessary fixes after a hard week

Been working in the background setting this channel up and alot of my mates are going to each race along with the roving kit that is flown on the top deck of a Jumbo. Interesting stuff. Let's hope Sky do the coverage justice!!!

I recon you will be able to get streams of the race from all over the net.

Agree Frank...I love waiting for the race over the weekend..Anticipation for whats to come over the next 3 hours or so....Now it will be over kill...24 hours a day 7 days a week.....End of an era...

End of an era or start another? Personally I am looking forward to it, some how even with sky + and multi room I will be relegated to the kitchen portable for some of it. Until digital switchover which will make that tv useless

Can't beat that but must be close, we never had a video at first, then when we did, if a race got a delayed start the tape ran out! you had to wait until midnight for the 30 minute highlights on BBC 2.

Exactly matt,, look around guys there will be stuff on the net... I live in Aus and have to look a lot harder for things... as there is so little motorsport of any quality downunder... we just don't have the exposure, know how and experience.. I can't even stream top gear from You tube now the beeb has blocked it via AS numbers,, but that is easy to get round.. and I find it elsewhere....
