What happened to Vettel? He seemed to have lost power and gave up 3 places on the finishing straight...I couldn't tell because of lack of channel sound at the pub I was at...need to find a proper F1 pub!

Have to say that the new rules did nothing for the spectacle, was just a parade after the first couple of laps.

If we have to rely on cars becoming sick before the front runners can pass will be a boring season. This was borne out by the tv director constantly showing the back markers fighting for non scoring places.

Agree mostly but i think it was the last minute changes to the bahrain circuit that changed what should of been a good start to the season and not the refuelling changes , pretty sure once were on the smaller circuits it'll get more exciting or i'll have to go and buy a hat to eat

Aussie grand prix

Lets hope tomorrow brings a little more excitement than Bahrain , Lewis having taken his own eye off the ball has a lot of ground to make up to get anywhere near that podium , Jenson is in with a good shot at 1 2 or 3 , as usual Red bull are Favourite but do they have reliability and can webber keep it on the track thoughts

The whinging Hamilton show was at it on air radio, before the race had finished, blaming the team for bringing him in , and continued to the Media with the same story directly after the race finished , has he forgotten already that he as the driver has the over riding decision to stay out or come in , as he did several times last year ignoring team advice .His comments that he drove his heart out , mmmmmmm at one stage taking off part of Massa 's rear wing nearly taking himout , when will this guy realize that in his skills are quite average as drivers go , his early career start with McClaren went to his head with all the hype , really hope he calms down and matures a little , his equiverlant Rosberg continues to show that young drivers can drive and act in a mature manner even when not in one of the top 3 competitive cars

I only caught the start as I was of out the door to Wembley to watch Saints smash Carlisle in the JPT trophy...drove past ACE CAFE in the coach and could see a small market going on.

Anyway, back to the race...a Button win, fantastic, what a Day Sunday 28th March 2010 turned out to be for me.

More importantly, the buzz appears to have returned to F1, and hopefully it will long continue!

Just thought I would put this one back at the top, might make it a sticky, could be the longest thread ever by the end of the season. Just finished watching an event packed qualifying, Webber gets pole with both Fezzers and Lewis at the back. Button 17th, the rain rules supreme again.

Seems that Bernie has ordered the rain to start an hour into the race , so plenty of chance for the back markers to creep forward a few places and make for another interesting race , one of those meetings that with the onslaught of rain impossible to guess or determine 1 2 3 , why does that pompous prat of a presenter keeping going on about Eddie Jordans sweaty shirt yesterday , he mumbles on from error to error and David and Eddie cover for him consistently , guess his Dad's is high up in racing or the Beeb , At least Murray treated all the ex drivers owners with respect when interviewing

I'm very sorry if I'm once again sounding grumpy, but did I just witness two, pre-pubescent mallrats, high-fiving eachother after finishing 1st and 3rd in the Malaysian GP??

As I don't want to disturb my sleep pattern I've avoided watching F1 in the last few years, nothing was more likely to shut me down for a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon than watching cars parading around like fairies. Even so, I would never have imagined it would become a sport for adolescent punks with communication skills on par with a plate of beans negotiating its way out of a cow's digestive system.

Can someone please explain it to me, I missed the boat, the boat left and I wasn't on the boat......

If its any consolation, they are both German. To be fair, I actually really like Vettel, as he is not your usual arrogant F1 baffoon, he's is sort of nerdy, but a very fast nerd at that. Hats off to him for winning.
