Exhaust Valvle Issue

Hi All

i own a maserati GranTurismo 4.7 Mc Sport Shift. Last couple of days my exhaust valves have been playing up. They have now got stuck in the closed position. I took the vacuum hoses off either side which released the valves to open. It seems that the vacuum is constantly on.
Does anyone have any ideas in how to fix this problem?

There are a few threads, use the search facility, just type in " exhaust valves" or search in the GT section.

Solenoid is more than likely faulty. If you want a quick fix, remove the vacuum hoses and put a golf tee in them and tuck them up out the way.

Yep, if they are stuck closed, the solenoid must be broken, and stuck in it's open position

£40 for a new solenoid. Or as mentioned remove and plug the hoses for a permanent fix

thanks for your replies. i'll try get hold of one. best to get one from the main dealer or out source? also is it possible for it to be a diy job.
