It's got me salivating to get back in one.

Just needs a 4.7, rangs and the exhaust from the GTS, now there's a project!

I've read it before, it really is an accurate review, very little criticism apart from the little slippage of the clutch in traffic, in my eyes the only thing that isn't perfect about the car. Truly wonderful, I love them.

Good review............loved the pics too....they bring it alive in motion.......loved this bit....

in auto mode there's still the feeling that there's too much clutch slip than is good for the friction plate. Maserati's engineers shrug when this is pointed out and say that they doubt GranSport owners will use auto much

That's the review which convinced me to buy one (er, I mean two).

I've still got the original article upstairs somewhere.

I was half-thinking about the 4.7 project, but on reflection I reckon it wouldn't improve the GS much, other than give it an even mightier sound!

Now if someone knows whether it's possible to put the 458 dual clutch into the GS, then there's the start of a project!

MS, believe me, you can get a mighty sound from the humble 4.2, it just needs the right exhaust I think Matt and Dan will agree, it wasn't overly humbled by 2GTSs in the Hindhead tunnel and that was before mine got properly loud.

Saw our "local Gransport" Blu Mediteranneo yesterday in the local BP whilst I was in the Cup. The two cars looked excellent together. The owner had placed it on pistonheads a few weeks ago but took it off as could not face selling it. Wise man! When you don't see a GS for a while they look wonderful and still very "today" - the only problem I have is deciding which colour they look best in. Bizarrely - the GS that was hydrolocked and debated here a couple of weeks ago probably looked as good as they can get in my eyes.
