My previously welded rear wheel is cracked and leaking air again.

I note Eurospares selling a full set for a reasonable £1149. Group buy anyone? I only need one.

Anyone bought these? Is the weight the same, i.e. safe to mix and match with OEM?

They are to CE spec and they can be no worse than OEM.

There was one on ebay last week...but it had been welded too.

I would think two matching wheels across an axle would be fine . i.e two Eurospares wheels .

@philgarner My front alloy has a crack in it and has been welded, although its fine, it's always in the back of my mind to get it replaced. I may be interested in going halves for the fronts.

Good plan, will PM you and we can sort out details. Isn't the internet great?!

@philgarner Sure no worries at all. I've been keeping a lookout on the internet for a while for a 2nd hand alloy and they all seem to be either the wrong colour or have cracks and welds all over them.

Is there not a good non-Maserati alternative to the 19" Trofeo GS wheels without de-valuing the car on lack of originality?

There are the FD/Forgestar alloys a forumer is currently trying to sell

I would love a set of these 18" trofeo alloys which they used on the track car but at £2600 its too much for me. I guess they might be the last known "new" set for sale.

For me, one of the reasons I went for a GS over a 4200 was the wheels. This is a personal choice thing. So swapping the wheels on a GS, at least for someone like me, would reduce it’s appeal slightly. You can store them and then put them back on!

Phil + Lee - I may be interested in buying at least one rear. I would need to know my price, plus freight cost from Eurospares to down under. Would the plan be for Eurospares themselves to freight each wheel to its respective location?

I also need to confirm how many wheels I may need - whether it is one....or more. Hope to be back to you soon. Cheers.

@foibles I'm going to run both the new rears on my car just to make sure there are no balance issues. This means I'll have one used, but good condition original available. I had them refurbed about 3 years ago so they are pretty good but definitely not perfect. I'll do some pictures when I have had the tyres swapped.
