Hello guys, could use some help. Have an error code indicating faulty ignition on cylinder # 2 and it is not false, engine does not fire on all eight cylinders, was driving on the highway and all of a sudden something felt wrong, engine sound was not round and there was a loss in power. I assume I need a coil pack. I was asked by Ricambi America and Formula Dynamics what is the engine serial number; up to some number all the coil packs were identical, after that they are different depending on the bank of cylinders. Hence two questions:
where can I find the engine serial number? I went searching on the internet, says it is on the bellhousing, just lifted the car on the hoist, could not see anything except a number 11454-02 stamped on the bellhousing which I doubt is the engine serial number. So where is it and how does it look like? if anybody has access to such info the VIN is ZAMBC38AX30010002, Canadian car.
2nd question, what are the cylinder numbers looking from the front of the car? need to locate that # 2 cylinder .....
