Engine differences "older" 4.2 versus "newer" 4.2?

Can anyone nail down any relevant differences in the 4.2 that went into the 4200/GS series and that which goes into the QP and GT range, plus what else did they up-date/improve in the later ranges from a drive train perspective?

Not so much that Dem...but technical differences...to improve both quality and reliablity etc....esp drivetrain...clutch etc

Dry and wet sumps guys, probably the odd part that has been updated but that would be it.

So same basic engine that went into 2002 cars?....interchangeable?


What about clutch.......?
