you'd think smart meters wouldnt need the oversight...?
Domestic heating oil up 60% here since Aug last year !
60%? is that all.
If you are on gas, the increase is 350%
Our gas price per unit last year was 2p.
Now 4p moving to 7p tomorrow.

Well I am glad that my wife and I were never skin flints on energy usage with a few adjustments we should not feel the price increases too much.

Top tip , transfer any energy direct debits to your wife's bank account , she can use the dishwasher/tumble dryer/ leave the TV on when she's asleep without any arguments whatsoever
You forgot the iron, hair curlers and that funny massage device they have tht leaves them breathless....

The regs about water content in firewood sees some sellers drying their logs for a week in the kiln, before they can sell it..! The energy implication in achieving this are crazy...
Then there’s the billions of pounds that just today, the news reported as the cost of the adverse health implications from wood burning..
Worlds’ gone mad......:welcome1:

Here in my little bit of France nearly everyone has a chimney and burns wood.
Plentiful supply and you see it stacked up and naturally drying and ageing dosent go anywhere near a drier.
As for health I've never been healthier since living here.
When in the UK and NZ I had to take medication for low blood pressure not anymore assessed as perfectly healthy.
Work that one out.

A little bit of pressure being taken off here as for the next 4 months the Government will be paying 18 cents a litre for fuel at the pumps.

Away from the major cities/towns the population density is much less than the UK which makes a big difference to wood supply/burning.
I can't say my late French father-in-law was any healthier, with all the visits to the local cafe/social pre diner drinks/wine at lunchtime/all the cheese!!

Whilst cost of living and energy bills are skyrocketing, worth remembering that Jacob Rees-Moggs dad co wrote this book.

Tagline : "How to make money in an economic crisis"

Nothing has changed since the 80s. Whilst the rest of us struggle to heat or eat, those in power sit in their mansions , put an extra log on the fire and toast their multi millions with a £300 bottle of wine from the cellar.

At least vote for someone different next time.

Change will happen.
