Emergency starting

Hi Chaps
The old Nana wont start i got the CODE light up on the dash :
Immobilizer ON
I do have the code and looking in the Hand Book to se how to get her started

I assume the CODE has to be Enterd Every time i start the car ????
BUT the main Question Is there a limit to how many times the code can be enterd ??

Hi Banana,
Yes, unfortunately you will have to enter the code every time you start the car,
The manual for my QP says the Emergency start procedure '...can be repeated an unlimited amount of times'.

Never had this before on the 4200 , if the immobiliser is on, and your in the car i guess its got out of sequence, i would first start with locking /unlocking a few times and trying again . or try with battery reset , never ever been requested for any code on my 4200 after reset should just be straight forward reset , and wait a few secs , lock and unlock with the key and then try to start in the normal way let us know how you get on Mick

I Did try all the normal stuff but no good

Good idea just had a go with other key but still no luck

Look's like she is off to indy
If i get her back befor monday i will se you at ACE If not have a good one and i will se you at next one

Mick,
I had the same with mine once in a motorway service station. Tried locking and unlocking with no avail. An AA guy gave it a go by switching the ignition on and off a number of times and the the key managed to resync itself.

After reading Klive's thread i went out this morning to get prept for the trip to the Indy
And to give Klive's idea a go
You never beleve The ole Nana started on the button sweet as a nut

So lets hope that is the end to the problem ?????

Nana, she knows your trying to off her, and is playing up....I had a girlfriend once that did the same thing, I had to resort to other methods in the end...
