i want to know when is my air con on or off, when i drive does the light have to be on so i can have it off
i know i have been driving last 2 weeks with air con on and to do this my light has to be off does that sound right

If you want to save fuel you switch your economy mode on, therefore switching your air con off.
So Econ light on means economy mode on and air con off.

The Econ button switches off the AC compressor hence reducing the auxilary load on the engine and saving fuel. Therefore if you want your air conditioning on the the Econ button should not be illuminated. It sounds like what you've been doing the past couple of weeks is right.

Slightly flawed there Emtee............if we all ate more bovine based food...it increases the demand...in short term put price up.....then more farmers would try to produce more...and the overall numbers of cows would grow.....

I agree with you, however as we have the same name and same car maybe we would think alike.

As I understand it if the air con is not used regularly, the freon gas will eventually escape and need replenishing. That's bound to cost lots so we're best all keeping the econ button off at all times. Mine's never been on, save for once when I was curious to know what colour the LED was.

Also if you don't run the pump regulary it'll corrode. A replacement will hurt your pocket and the greenhouse gases to manufacture the new and destroy the old won't help the planet much.
Stay cool, leave the econ button alone..

Yup....advisable to run it once a month.........otherwise....cost you a packet in the long run!
