Door Handle??

Don't suppose anyone has an exterior door handle lying around for a late model Biturbo? Body coloured rather than chrome.

An early Ghibli II one may also fit, the later Ghibli ones are just slightly larger, obviously!

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks @Zep I think I've now sourced in Italy from Biturbo parts, as suggested above, I think it was my enquiry that prompted him to post on FB!

The garage has got a QPIV in at the moment as well so might get them to check as a back up.

Unfortunately the handle from Biturbo Parts was the wrong size, slightly too large. Also checked the QPIV which are the same.

There also seems to be some doubt that a chromed one can be stripped to be painted? Does anyone have any experience?

You can paint chrome in a similar way to other metals.

Stripping chrome by sanding is easy but the trident will be difficult, chemically stripping chrome is also relatively easy but chrome is often the final plate and if it’s over nickel there’s not much chance of doing that without dissolving the part itself ( I’m assuming it’s a ****** bit of pot metal)

That was the thought, chemically stripping the chrome would most likely destroy the material underneath.

Currently got one being 3D printed so will see what that comes out like in a few days.
