i like the red stitching in the interior. front bumper looks to be repainted.

I have seen so many great QP's here that I am starting to really like them!

Apparently has full service history though they were reluctant to send to me. No doubt wanting me to come - fair enough I guess

Though they did try the "another client had called up this morning about this and is very interested so you might like to put a deposit on it". Quite a coincidence, 2 calls in one day for a model that often takes 2-3 months to sell...

That's annoyed me.

Well I struggled selling my GTS @ 25k but it had 48k miles. This car is practically new and at 25k it wont take much convincing for anyone after a GTS. As a former owner, I know that less than 50 4.2L models were registered in the U.K in 2008/9.

A nice looking low mileage example been for sale quite a while now - same colour as my old QP GTS but mine had a sunroof - have the variators been done ?

The silence after I asked the question led me to quite rapidly conclude the saleman didn't know what variators were, let alone whether they'd been done. Until I see the service history I assuming not

Which photo made you think that about bumper?
MOT history has "offside front upper Front suspension has excessive movement at a wishbone pin or bush" which I was a little suspicious of.

It seems to be a trend I've noticed in the last year. I heard it at least twice from two different dealers. I called the first one's bluff and told them to let me know once the other person had seen the car and decided. They back-tracked pretty quickly and said the other buyer wasn't a definite. They might even conjure up a name for you if you are lucky to "prove" the other interest was genuine.

The one in Scotland has been driven by Everyman and his dog as it was owned by one of those hire out companies which is why it's cheap. I think someone has been to see it from on here. Been for sale for some time.

The other one looks good. It has been for sale for a while as well .... At least 3 months so that's lucky for them two people interested on the same day......... I would want to get it for under 25k then it's a great buy and one you really shouldn't lose money one.

The best one to buy is Ewan's on here though. He was talking about selling and it is just one of the best in stunning blue. Very rare.

I'm not a blue car person unfortunately. Black or grey with black interiors is my strong preference

If you like the black/black combination, rush off and see the Bohler car now. It's low mileage and a great price (even before negotiations). So what if you don't like the dealer? It's the car you are buying, not the person. So if it rings your bells, go get it.

Good choice by the way. The QP GTS is a fantastic vehicle. The sun is out today so I'll use mine for the trip to work.

I'm still debating if I take a slightly larger plunge and get a GranTurismo. I'd prefer black/black, the Boler is actually grey/black. If someone else is genuinely interested this week they can have it but if not I'll go to look and make an offer.

In terms of the dealer, I think it does matter. Would you pay a bit more for a vehicle that you'd known was bought by the last owner from Nuvola or RGrace. Suspect most here would. They've also got the vehicle on Autotrader at £1000 less than their website which no doubt will turn out to be an "administrative error" when I query. The thing is if they train their salesman in weak closing techniques based on lies and they partake in dodgy pricing practices, what else are they going to hide. I'd pay 26k in a heartbeat for this car from one of the "known quantity" Maserati dealers, from these guys I'm now not so sure.

Good to know thanks. Will cross it off the list. Owners didn't reply to contact through the ad anyway

Not strictly true Andy. It is owned by a group of 12 friends who pay the running costs so car had not been mistreated. Fact is it is not what they want to use and taking out Porsches etc instead. If you look at the MOT history you will see it has only done a couple of k in last year.
I am still half interested in the car but fact is miles kill the sale. I don't have a problem with them but selling it on with 90k will take forever.

The miles was my main concern too. People seem happy to reassure that the engine will be fine forever but there are b*gger all examples of these engines at 120,000+ so who knows if engine rebuilds start looming at 100k.

Look on the continent, there are plenty at 150-200 kms
