Dodgy MOT?

I must admit I always get nervous taking the car for a Mot, worse than going to the dentist. Being a bit tight(well a lot really thats why I can afford a Maserati!) I had a look around for special offers. I found one closeby which offered a 'no pass no fee' and cheap at 40 quid, also it won some award for best garage.

Anyway, after a wait took the car in. Sat in the viewing area but could only see the back of the car really so it was difficult to know what checks they did. Got new Mot with advisiory on 'both front anti-roll bar linkage worn but not serious'

Drove the car later at night(only second time) and noticed the high beam is high and to the left rather than straight ahead. On dipped lights seems ok.

Why would they? They are a pain in the a55 to get to and adjust, so what's the point if they are going to pass it anyway? Sounds like a slack tester to me, or a lenient one. Either way, a pass is a pass.

I thought you had sent it to an Indie to let them fix it, or have I missed something?

i did, he done the shims but no difference, so with further unknown costs of investigation, i had to take it away, im not in a financial position to give the go ahead without knowing costs upfront unfortunatly
