Deactivation procedure in progress

Hi All
I get this warning on my info centre 4200,it gives the warning turns info system off, comes back to life 5 seconds latter same message,switches off again.this goes on/off three times and them system stays dead till I switch it back on manually with button, then goes through the same thing again?
Any one with any ideas?

OOoh that's interesting.
Given that it's actually giving you a message, I'd *guess* that it's doing it deliberately. That would make me reckon there's a fault in there somewhere.
Soooo. Battery reset?

When you say battery reset,do I just isolate battery for say 20 mins and just turn it back on? Or is there more to it?

Nope, exactly that. Switch it off for 20 minutes or so. Cures a multitude of sins.

Are you getting any other odd symptoms?

This happens when the Nav unit gets confused. Remove the nav disk before the reset.
