Hi
I had my dash top recovered a while ago by a very reptubale company locally i have never been totally happy with the result it has been back 3 times and still not right.
So i am looking at a different route,on eBay there is a company that do Italian leather skins for the 3200 dash
My question is has anyone here had any experience of them?
Regards G.

Not sure where you are or how far you'll travel, but I'd recommend Kevin Bags is Poole. He's a few doors down from Emblem Sports Cars and does all their trimming. Plenty of Concors wins to prove the quality their joint work.

wherever you decide to go, I'd seriously consider alcantara over leather, less windscreen glare.

I am going to be training as an leather upholsterer when I retire in a year or so, that and metal fabrication and welding, but suppose you don't want to wait that long.

Hi Based in Devon but am happy to travel if nessesary.
Last monday i took the day of to go and see David Askew for a recon rear shock then over to Southend
to catch up with Beau regarding his AC interior which is now waiting to be fitted in the car.

The final piece of the Maserati jigsaw is the dash top, its taken 2 years so far i dont know wether i can wait
another few!!
Im more than capable to re skin this dash its time and pacience i know the basics, the tricky part is cutting out the leather hence asking about
this lot on ebay.
Alcantara couldf be an option its how it looks against the red piping and black leather below, my head lining and sun visors are a dark grey alcantara
which looks nicer than the normal AC headlining.

Having worked a repair on my GS dash, the issue is the foam that sits between the plastic chassis and the leatherette top. Its glued to both surfaces and if you remove it partially, and reglue it, it tears the foam and is noticeable when you have reworked it. The chassis needs to be stripped of its coating, all the glue residue then a new top cut to pattern and the correct foam sandwiched and stretched and glued to the correct tension or it will look ****.

I have decided to get the skin from this lot on ebay.

ive spoken to the guys that did my dash originaly explained the situation that 3rd attempt im still not happy
they have agreed to fit the new skin for me under my supervision.
So now the plan is to remove the dash, strip the leather off and foam then refit to car, using a marker pen mark exactly where the stiching should meet the lower dash around speedo/revcounter
and take lots of photos i think its the binicle? and hopefully finaly sucsess.

There all the same (wrinkled) i have looked everywhere and have others looking to no avail!
The exterior of the car has a brand new professional respray the interior is very near mint
mechanically spot on there are a couple of gremlins in the electrical side which are being slowly hunted down
so its not worth cutting corners on the one part thats basically in my line of sight,
for the sake of an extra couple of hundred pounds id rather get it right.

I did mine myself with a small tin of Evostick and a few plastic spring loaded clamps, it worked out fine..

There's Luigi's signature on the back face with a date stamp..you could get on to Maser and complain about the build quality;)

The original one was virtualy crispy! we tried to soften it up to strech back but it was to far gone.
I have ordered a new skin which should be here tomorrow and fitted next week.
