Corrosion under bonnet and on boot lidon QP V

Alas it seems that the bonnet and boot on the QP were made from aluminium and not properly rust proofed and mine are starting to go. Has anyone fixed this issue permanently or does it come back after bodywork repair eventually?

Repaired properly it should be fine for over a decade. But a cheap blow over will fail in a year.

And let's also include the wing mirror mounts on a classic QPV. I've had mine done but it looks like they are starting to bubble again...

Mine too. Lasted about a couple of years...

I had a little on my boot and bonnet. I think it is oxidisation of the aluminium which will need something like an etching primer I think.

I didn't want to say on the original, but it sure as **** isn't rust
