Afternoon

Been a while since been on but still have the GTS and loving it, just been manic with divorce and businesses (setup a detailing supply company for mid range products- go live soon )

Few niggles - my exhaust now sounds like a bag of spanners when running and sports mode stopped making any difference, assume baffles or something in the back box that have broke and need a replacement ?

Coolant - noticed remaining at 90c for long time and not reducing temp last few trips, took her out for long run to Pride of Longridge due to my MG F breaking down 40 miles from home after 800 quid of work the oil pipe broke !!! Anyway looked at coolant and its totally clear and below minimum so topped up with fresh water from a bottle to above minimum and assume again that needs a coolant flush and replacement ?

Alarm - sound working, then wash her or give her a spray of water and now the sound doesn't work when you close or open ? ? Any ideas ?

Apart from that love driving her still and even thought a GTR destroyed me as it had 1000 bhp near clitheroe, still gets the looks from the X pipes as I blast through the villages here

Sorry to hear the woes... ex Accrington refugee here and was up your neck of the woods just two weekends ago.

Think a visit to the dealer may be required.

Exhaust issues are the valves which are rattling and possibly stuck. I'm assuming it's loud all the time?

Yes, they sound stuck part way. Wd40 / silicon lube on the valve springs, work them in and out by hand and you should be ok. Failing that I suspect the solenoid's goosed. Quick and cheap to fix. As an interim measure you can pull off the vacuum pipes and tape them up. Your valves will then be always open, which suited me just fine when mine did exactly the same thing as you describe.
