I hate to say it but I’ve driven a Diesel Ghibli and it was dull as ditchwater. Duller than other diesels I’ve driven such as an A6 TDI even.

Get the petrol or admit declare defeat and go German.

Wouldn’t dismiss a base petrol, the Celtic tuning remap and tcu remap really transformed my Ghibli to the performance of the S. I managed to get a great spec with heated seats and 6 pot brakes, beautiful Grigio metallic. The MPG is good in a long run, 30-35.

I’ve had it a couple of years and have just handed to a dealer to sell on my behalf

Agree re Celtic tuning
Not on a Maserati but I took my Giulia to them and they transformed it to a beast of a car so I imagine the base petrol could match the S with them
Exactly what I did with my base petrol Ghibli. Very worthwhile mod but be sure to update the brakes to the 6 pot versions as above.

Where is the Ghibli? My neighbour wants my Merc, so I might be in the market until we leave (and maybe take one to ZA)

I’m only in Cumbria…virtually the end of your street.
Actually, you can’t have it. My flaming company car has dropped back another two months. 7 months to get a poxy VW made with no options, other than the choice of paint ticked. No way I would be waiting that long for a personal car purchase.

Before I bought the Ghibli I was looking at leasing a Giulia. It was months to get one. Do people really plan that far ahead?
