Clutch info from Giallo...how much of it do we agree with?

The penultimate point is interesting, as it feeds into a discussion we've had previously.

My sport button is always on. Last 6000 miles and the clutch has only worn by 10% (was 4% , now 14%). I drive the car pretty hard accleration wise.

The three things that jump out at me are:
- leaving the car in 1st wears the clutch - I was under the impression that 1 with no throttle meant the clutch was totall disengaged. That me switching to neutral then...
- replace te pum relay - I wouldnt have ever thought about this.
- switch sport off in traffic - I do the exact opposite. I normally drive in Sport, but if on a motorway, then I usually turn it off. However, if the traffic builds up, I always put sport back on as I find the gear changes smoother.

I'd be interested to know if this is relevant for ALL CC's or whether its more relevant for the older CC's? By this, I mean that I'm aware that the CC has been updated over time and I wondered if this is still relevant with the later cars, particularly things like the relays burning out.

I think Woody as time went by the older ones had their software up-dated too.

1 I put her in neutral went coming to a stop, or stopped
2. Minimal reversing esp up-hill
3. Use sport occasionally
4. New relay at intervals seems a good idea, providing replacing same with same.
5 In sport mode, surely quicker changes means less wear?

I imagine the biggest killer will be traffic jams where you move forward at 2- 5 mph or so continually stopping and starting for 20mins or more on the motorway. At those speeds the clutch will be continually slipping.
