Blimey! If ever there was a thread hijack, this is it! Not that it matters, just rather amusing to see how quickly it drifted off subject! (-:

Bellissimo!

Nothing quite like black when its clean, but shame it does not last.

Dont think I personally will buy black again, it takes just too much time. White or pearl for me next.

Day to day, the Grigio Alfieri I had on the GS was the best colour to live with, did not show the swirls, the dirt, but just never looked that shinny when polished, well, you be the judge of that:

The Porsche did always look fantastic when clean, this was Black, and I decided to go for the opposite with the new beast, but as you'll see from this photo, any slight bit of dust of dirt on a white car and it instantly shows - I left my car outside a house that was being redeveloped a couple of nights ago and went to collect it in the morning, and this was only 1/2 hour after the builders had started work, and just look at the amount of dirt on it!!!

Off to get it cleaned later, and it does look amazing when clean, but white obviously does show every single bit of dirt.

OK, thanks for that. I had a white Renault back in the early 90's, everyone said it would be a pain to keep clean but I was surprised how well it did. Most dirt goes white when it dries out, think that might have been why.

What I dont like is to spend an hour cleaning her, then stepping back and thinking YUK!....going to have to polish it....the swirls is what I cant stand in bright sunlight too.

Agreed though, when clean and polished its the best.

I also like the Mediterrano Blu that Maserati/Alfa do, might go for that next time with white interior, I know, a sucker for punishment!

Matt, Dem, had you two been drinking? White hides dirt!? :)

I've never had such a pain in the **** when it comes to keeping a car clean. I used to clean my white car, go for a 15 min blast and it would be peppered in flies. Drive to Uni on a winters morning after cleaining it the night before and it would look like I'd never bothered! Looked ace clean, but didnt last like that for long, even in summer.

On my drive around the UK, London, Felixstowe, Bath, Nottingham, Birmingham, Chester, Edinburgh and Aberdeen i think i can confidently say that the Audi is without question the most popular car on UK roads today!!

I've seen hundreds!!!

Couple of Ferraris, 1 Lambo, 3 Bentleys in Cheshire.

But not 1 Maserati......ahh, it's nice to be different.

Cheers Wattie
