Classic car heaven - PICS FROM DK OPEN DAY

I'm going to have a week of over-indulgence in classic cars over the next week, starting this weekend. DK Engineering have invited me to their Open Day on Saturday. I last went a couple of years ago and was struck by the quality of their operation - immaculate workshops and some of the most amazing cars. I've never seen 4 Ferrari F40s in the same place at the same time since! I shall take my camera and post some pics. Last year:

I've also been invited through my club to an evening with the Classic Car Club in London next week. I shall be going to their premises in Old Street to look at the cars (over 250 apparently) and then spend a couple of hours driving some around London. A camera may be less easy to use whilst driving around, but I will try to grab a few shots if possible.

The classic car club have a silver 3200 at their Old Street garage, in fact they have a pretty nice selection of everyday classics. I used to walk past their workshops when they were in kings cross and they used to park nice green Muira outside.

Just got back from DK - wow, what a collection of cars both inside their premises and also in the car park.

I took a few pics, some are crappy iPhone pics as the battery in my camera died! Here's a teaser, the best car I saw today. More pics later....

While we're on a GTO theme - 599 GTO. This car is for sale at only Â£360,000 - a bargain when the 250GTO above would cost at least Â£15m-Â£20m. I had a chat with David Cottingham who said the owner of the 250GTO has had it for more than 30 years and has often used it in anger!
