Well its a bit like X factor and someone has got talent type of shows,, they all Franchise the show model and take their 20% margin while its a hot topic. Personally there is only one Top Gear and its in the UK. Its not helped by the fact that UK TG is actually on other channels here in Aus. When the show is a direct copy between the BBC=ABC here, it makes you compare.... and believe me there is nothing in the world for quality like UK TV..even with all the rubbish. In Aus we have the state channel ABC and the rest are all american owned and hence full of american shows.. If they had gone for the TG concept and then put some real Aussie twist on it maybe it would have stood on its own two feet. But I doubt it will.. In the meantime the BBC will just milk the show round the world until the ratings drop then they will call it something else.

TG....for all its detractors...........having now become formulaic......JC having quit smoking and putting on weight........Captain Slow....getting a bit quicker...........and Hamster not being as cuddly...still top of the heap........................
