Cheap money to say you have a Maserati sitting in the drive but me thinks you would need a fat wallet to keep her running. What appears cheap at first glance may well end up costing a small fortune

The Ghiblis are not particularly expensive to run. It's just that the lack of parts could create serious issues (eg. front lights are virtually impossible to find).

Problem with run of the mill type Ghibli's coming from a 3200 or 4200 even a Gransport , is they seem to be like sitting in your favorite armchair in your own front room , and extremely under powered , not quite old enough to bring about that feeling of Nostalgia and not quite quick enough to be up there with to days run of the mill bm's and the like  commence :firing: guys

Loz I feel the same about the Merak.... if only they had stuck a proper engine in it

Agree, it doesn't quite cut the mustard turning round to a Corsa driver who has just whooped yer asss and saying yeah but , mines a Maserati

Hey Big Foot ......if you are going to take the plunge surely the Cup is the one to have

Would agree with that UM...The thing is they are around 16/17k and although I love the Cup as it was the first Maserati I really, really lusted after for that money you can get the best 3200 AC...

Yes Andy and I think I would choose the 3200 over the Cup.........more comfort, more safety features and more beautiful..........but that does not mean to say that if I couldn't have Cameron Diaz that I would say no to Angelina Jolie

Loz I have to say what a load of guff.

With regard to the power issue, bhp per tonne the 3200 is hardly light years ahead and the ghibli is a better handling car just look at the weight distribution figures.

As for the corsa comment that is almost an insult mate I don't know of any 160 mph corsa's

I am a little bias though

See I was suprised at your comments Loz as I always thought the Ghibli was a handy bit of kit...Lighter than a 3200 and smaller so easier to place in a corner. The performance figs don't show it being that slow either...
