Not phased by those miles if the majority are motorway it is a bonus but I'd be inclined to dismiss that with the same derision as 'one careful lady owner'!

Get and have a look at it as it is the only way to know what you are actually looking for, check MOT history online, do your homework and it will make someone a nice cruiser. Not for me at this time round.

Would do but saving for a 4.7. But then I could be tempted.

If I was in the UK still I would be looking at it.
Must have had some work done on it if there's a full history.

Looks like a decent buy to me. I think I would be all over that if I had sold the XJ.

I'm trying to work out how much trouble i'd be in if I bought this before selling the 4200 , that is seriously cheap for an 09 car

If it wasn't 250 miles away i'd be on their doorstep tomorrow

Anyone looking for a cheap 4200

Has this sold now? Anyone on here if so?

It's gone off eBay so I assume so

I took a drive to keighley yesterday to look at a car from Motorhub , I know they get slated online but I thought they can't all be bad cars , it was a 07 plate MX5 for under 2k but it was very unloved in the flesh , front bumper a different colour , big ding in a wheel, 4 new tyres that looked like they were £10 each , both windows open slightly , no MOT which I knew about , even at that price I walked away .

What left me a bit gobsmacked was the size of the place , they're based in an old multi storey car park , 30+ £80,000 to £200,000 cars on the ground floor and every space was filled to the top of the car park getting cheaper the higher you went.

They have a LOT of cars there , including a Porsche that was about 7ft wide at the back , nice looking Granturismo for £80,000 something , must have been 15 Lamborghinis

Its still on their website but I bought it the other day. It's off to Shiltech to have the variators done. I am looking forward to picking her up!

Rattle

The car hasn't moved much of late as the owner works abroad most of the time. Therefore they were probably more rattly than normal. They definitely needed doing soon and as I am live in the North East with no local dealers I decided to get Shiltech on the case.

That is the problem with the wet sumps, if left to sit for long periods in between use the oil drain away and that exacerbates the problem.

Hi mate
I too am in N. E. England (the mighty Boro!)
I use a local indie who are very good but they told me in conversation that they do not have the gear for variators and it was a main dealer job
Other than that they have been very good

Cheers Dave. I'll keep that in mind for the future. Shiltech were sensibly priced and round the corner from Hamilton Greys and it gave me time to drop the purchase into conversation with the missus...
