Changed battery and doors won’t open

Help!

what have I done?

my battery was on its last legs so I ordered a replacement.
Took the old one out, new one in.
The locks beep like normal when I unlock the doors but the doors don’t open.
Tried the same thing with the key and no joy.
I now have the boot open just in case

Ok doors opened using the manual release.
Car starts and now the doors work.
Odd

I found a clear pipe to put where the battery transport bungs went.
It wasn’t connected to the old original battery strangely enough. Should it be connected?

Yes its the breather pipe to vent battery fumes to the outside air.

Try reseting the battery again if the doors still dont work.

Well it should as it vents hydrogen gas, but it will have had no bearing at all on your issue
