Hi all,
I have an intermittent cel on my 2002 spyder, basic code reader says “ insufficient temperature in time permitted bank 2 “ I’ve got larini sports cats which I believe it’s related to, it resets and doesn’t come back for a while normally when low speed dawdling in traffic.( i think it was p0138)
Any suggestions?

Give it a proper Italian Tune Up first with some Super unleaded and see if it comes back
Can you get live data on your code reader ?

Always use super unleaded, yes can get live values using car scanner app, what am I looking for? Hasn’t had a proper run due to summer traffic

First thing I would do is clear the code and give it a Good drive with fresh fuel.
If it persists check your lambda readings.

I’m off to Bicester Heritage Cars n Coffee this weekend which is about a 3 hour drive so that should give it a blast. Incidentally which side is bank 2?

So I traveled to Bicester and the orange CEL stayed off ,however at a steady cruise at 3500 rpm I got the “slow down “ error which I reset and read the codes below. It was fine on A roads at varying speeds though.
anyone got any clues?

I'm assuming it thinks the cats are getting too hot? Or maybe too cold when cruising? Strange.

The metal air pipe round the front of the engine will be rusted and holed, air from the secondary air pump is not being injected into the cats, they are running hot and hence the error.
