Wow, that's sad to hear. A part of Maserati's racing history and a titan of 20th Century racing. Rest in high octane peace.

A great man and a nice chap, but never mention GM to him, he would go mental, and roar on, how better the 351 Cleveland and Windsor engines were!
His Cobra Coupe, did secret testing on the M1, before its Spa outing, and recorded 195mph, still unofficially, the fastest speed attained on UK motorways!
With him, it was always cubic capacity, and fitting a 289 ci, then a 427ci engine in to an AC Ace, turned the car into pne of the biggest iconic cars, of its era.
We all remember the Gumball Rally film, with the Cobra, against the Ferrari.
