Car Stalling - 4200 GT

I am having issues with my car stalling...

It usually happens from startup, it will kick over then stall. Seems to be intermittent. If i start then hold revs at >3000rpm it wont stall, but as soon as i take my foot of the pedal it stalls. It can also happen when slowing to a stop and the revs drop close to idle.

Having tried some of my own investigation (and i'm no mechanic!) the cause seems to be coming from near the MAF or wiring close by..

Anyone have a suggestion on what it could be????

Thanks mate! Its extremely annoying and embarrassing when it happens! Especially in a place where there are so few Maserati.

I'm going to take the car to the workshop anyway, so hopefully that will give them a good place to start.

Just had a full diagnostic on my car... it was the MAF after all. Ordered a new one from Eurospares today.

Will it harm my car if i keep driving the car with a MAF issue?

Installed the new MAF sensor today... problem solved and the car is running more smoothly!
