More than happy to be on the spanners and proper mechanical work was what I was trained to do quite a few years ago now.
Just can't find a project like that here in France for that kind of money.

Anyone have an idea of what that NSX might be worth, approximately, as an auction buy?
really hard to tell as its an auto. A friend had a mint 40k mile auto and it took a year to sell for about 45k if i recall correctly

The good thing about the NSX is that they tend to accept high mileages, not unusual to see one with 100k miles or more but reasonable 50k cars seem to be around the £80k mark, although you will always see the odd chancer asking more

An automatic NSX is a bit like dating Scarlett Johansson and only going to Ikea.

I wasn’t overly fussed by the standard manual NSX.
The NSX-R, however, is - objectively, and without my ‘taste’ applied - the most accomplished car I’ve ever driven, tying with the Mitsubishi Evo 6 TME.

Nicely put Nate. I feel the same about most auto sports cars including the playstation like DSG gearboxes. Changing gear manually or MC shifting is part of the engagement. Seamless ZFs in cars like my CL500 are great for cruising and even rapid bend swinging and a manual in such a car would be inferior.

A friend of mine bought an NSX-S about 15 years ago and that is pretty special too. One of the few V6s that sound really good.

I was very underwhelmed by the 93 manual NSX I had, was part ex’d into a Volvo main agent whom I bought it off

That black auto IIRC had been bid to around 35k in previous auctions on that platform

They want £40k for that NSX. But just discovered its 0-60 time is over 7 seconds - pretty woeful for a sports car, frankly. So that’s out.
I'm pretty sure my 82 Ford Capri 2.8i was that quick with it's Janspeed exhausts on it and push rod ohv cast iron engine and no VTech too.

Really? I thought the manual version was just under 6 secs, auto was slower I think
