Can't get into the Quattroporte V

Hi guys

The car has been sitting for 3 or 4 weeks. I tried to unlock with both fobs, and got nothing from the car. I tried the emergency key in the drivers door lock, turning it had no effect either. I suspect the battery is dead, but how do I get into the car to access the battery ?

Sorry if this is as dumb a question as it sounds to me while writing this :(

Is this a V or a VI? I didn't thing the V had an 'emergency' key, just a normal one?

If it's a VI then the key should work with a dead battery. Does they key actually turn in the lock all the way? Are you turning it far enough / hard enough?

Its a 2011 car. I'm talking about the metal key that is built into the fob. I was turning it at least half a turn. Didn't push it too much however.

OK so deffo a V. That's just 'a key' ;)

Looking at the parts diagram, the QP seems to have the same two button arrangement on the door *handle* as the GT. You're using the rear, mechanical button to try and open the door?

Apologies if I'm totally wrong.
