Cambiocorsa issue help

Have you considered taking it to a specialist to get it sorted?

This cambiocorsa transmission is complex with multiple dependencies on different parameters and electronics.

Hardly anything within the scope of DiY I would have thought. After some of the troubleshooting journey, so often the car ends up at a specialist.
Specialists are going to be few and far between in the outback of Australia.

G’day spkennyuk,

I just had a look the reverse T handle seems to working ok and system hydraulic pressure between 40-48 Bar. I was reading the min pump times engine off (2min) and running (1 min) and my pump cycles just over half those times but as pressure ok should still be able to select gear? maybe there’s some air in the actuator, read sometimes one of the 3 bleed screws on actuator can loosen enough to allow air into system without any noticeable fluid leak.
Your pump priming times are much too short, should be 3 times what you are seeing. So you have an internal leak in the F1 system

G’day conero,

Very true, I had time to bleed the clutch last night and already an improvement engine off, pump cycle time increased 3min 45sec
Chance the actuator has some air in system too, maybe one of those 3 bleed screws loose, (seems fairly common on F430) need to renew fluid anyway so will loosen the actuator check bleed screw torque then loosen all to 2 - 2.5 turns do actuator bleed and then gear position relearn. After that will be close to admitting defeat.

Not an expert but when bleeding the actuator is there not a bleed cycle that needs to be run on the Maser diagnostic software ?

That’s good that it’s better but if air is getting in, fluid will be getting out. Any wetness?

You would think so but from what I’ve read on F430 there’s often no obvious weeping but just enough to get air in through a loose bleed screw, once I get round to loosing the actuator couple of inches to access bleed screws will check any difference in torque first, loosen 2 turns then run x431 actuator bleed and re torque to 18nm. These are not typical bleed screws no fluid should come out, it does the bleed internally to the low pressure return line of reservoir. As it’s already in neutral shouldn't need to do the gear position relearn.

F430 procedure attached
