I think you're getting your assassination confused :)
Georgi Markov was Bulgarian and assassinated by being stabbed with an umbrella that deposited a pellet containing ricin under the skin of his thigh.
Alexander Litvinenko was Russian and assassinated using Polonium.

Plutonium is not actually that poisonous (apparently) and 'quite difficult' to get hold of as apparently it's useful for some other things :)

I just think it's important to keep these things straight :D

Or rather, I sit corrected in a traffic jam on the A1. Quite concerned about the level of detail you 'happen' to know about assassinations... ;)
