Well that was a resounding feck you to Labour and good that he is resigning. I didn't see any other outcome really. It's a shame though in some respects as many pundits say that a majority will be less likely to result in a "no deal" rather than Boris' "oven ready" deal. I do hope that he can go and play hard ball with them now.

This is my view too, we went through the risks before the election and in the end the people have spoken. So from today, it’s no longer about for and against, it’s about getting the best possible outcome from the leave process.

Totally agree... I know plenty of people that voted remain who voted torie yesterday so my conclusions are similar.

I thought JC was staying on for a “process of reflection”, anyone remember the Militant Tendancy or SDP?

The most positive thing to come out of this election result is that Brexit, like it or not, will finally have a resolution.

For too long we have dithered over how we are going to leave, and have certainly lost the upper hand in negotiations with the EU.

With Boris's huge majority in the HoC surely he can dump the **** deal he has on the table and go hardball with the EU?
Because they either negotiate or it's a no deal Brexit?

So that's it
Pleased Boris is in to get Brexit finished (I voted leave)
Not so pleased he is in with a big majority as he can now steam roll some less palatable (to me) things through without compunction.
I am optimistic though
Pleased JC has gone. Labour need someone in the vein of Mr Blair - moderate, in order to have any chance of election again.
The British people do not like extremes and we are not in 1949 anymore when radical change was required.
Poverty now (generally) is having only one mobile 'phone and there are some very poor areas near to me that prove this.
Labour lost the election more than BJ won it. Labour have been inept for 10 years or more while the Tories were in disarray

But the arrogance of JC continues - he wants to oversee the review of the result and presumably the appointment of a new leader so he can influence this towards the continuity of his failed and rejected political agenda - clearly he still knows best. He should go immediately and let others decide the future direction of the Labour Party

Up till Corbyn become party leader I've always voted Labour but the vile hatred their supporters have shown during this election I will be overjoyed if that Exit poll is right.

worse defeat than Michael foot and lost areas that have been labour since 1920's , good riddance to JC

Exactly, but doubt it.

**** me, wasn’t that something that everyone who wanted to leave (SMDRP 7 v’s SMUPPITS many many more) a year ago pointed out?
No one dithered, the losers of the referendum didn’t respect the result. Simple and hoped that there would be an escape route from it.
