Brecon Blast

Well,
I was forced to fill up with 95 RON fuel the other day since the BP and Shell stations on my usual route home down the M4 corridor had none of the decent stuff left. So I decided today to have a blast around the Brecon Beacons to clear the sub-optimal black stuff.
Had a great day, but something interesting happened just as I was leaving home for the journey - the car stalled at the second junction out of my estate. No great problem, simply restart of course, but this is not something I am used to. Anyone had this before?
FWIW, the battery seems strong - around the 13.5-14V mark according to the dash meter - and is firmly attached, whilst oil pressure is 5 bar when running and ~2.5 at rest. Seems a bit odd to me.
Not sure it could have any relationship, but after the key turn (and before button ignition) there are two loud beeps. I'm assuming this is normal although I didn't have it on my previous GS.
As stated before, I'm not too concerned as I have recently driven 1500 miles without issue, but it is always nice to get feedback on these things.
Cheers,
Pat

Yeah, there were no bikers out but quite a few plonkers pulling out on me on roundabouts. Got the old road-rage going!

Still keen to get to the bottom of the stalling issue - I looked on Maserati Life, people suggest it happens when the clutch is on the way out but pretty sure mine is good, I think it was around 15% on one of the reads done not so long ago.

As an aside, I read the manual last night for guidance around the two beeps on turning the key to AVV position - didn't find anything, but noticed that Maserati recommend not lifting off the throttle when changing gear. Does anyone actually follow this advice?!

Gear change on mine is seriously sluggish when cold and lifting off does nothing to help things indeed pressing the throttle seems to speed it up (not the car - that's obvious!!!), so I'd guess the advice is sage indeed. Fine after a few miles and once warmed through. I've had occasions when I've had it running for ages on the drive and thought it was all good to go, pulled out of the biottom of my road and caused chaos as I can't get it to go up to 2nd for a few seconds, not what people expect when they let a sports car out!
