Breakdown cover...spare wheel issue......

Guys, am with a breakdown company who've recovered me in the past with a ripped tyre....on their current policy it says....

They exclude getting a spare wheel for you if the car does not have one


Also....The vehicle must carry a spare tyre....however this does not apply if the vehicle was not designed to carry a spare tyre

I spoke to them on the phone to explain a spare was not standard on the car ie optional extra, she went away and clarified hat they would recover me to a garage/tyre depot for repair though

Need to read their policies and endless exclusions for peace of mind!!

Yes a good call Frank, like insurance companies I've heard breakdown companies are getting hot on wrangling out of helping people; stupid really as you are not exactly going to rush back to them if it happens to you are you? I think it is mostly limited to these bank bolt on deals and the likes...
