Just finished reading this little gem and would thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting to read about the classic era of front-engined Grand Prix racing.

Littered with the legendary names - Fangio, Salvadori, Behra and of course Moss along with Vanwall, Maserati, Cooper and Ferrari it tells the story of the 1957 Pescara Grand Prix.

Far from being a dry historical account, it's thoroughly evocative and reads more like a boys own novel.

An era of daring do with the constant spectre of serious injury and death, it really does drive home the differences between motor racing then and now.

Seek it out. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
