I thought exactly the same when I saw it, surely even Maserati wouldn't do that in the factory, has to be someone's 'individual' sense of humour!

Sadly I have seen worse from the factory...the guys who stitch up the hide must think some owners no taste or sight...or maybe both.

I'm pretty sure this is a recent addition, I saw the car advertised a while ago and I don't recall seeing the nasty red stuff. If you look closely it doesn't look to be a brilliant job, leather looks a bit cheap and armrest is a little baggy. I guess the standard alcantara was getting a little worn but if you're going to the trouble to get it sorted why not stick with the standard alcantara or at least try to match the leather centre sections of the seats. The red really jars with the rest of the interior, truly nasty. Shame as other than that it looks like a really nice car

It says in the advert that the interior was 'upgraded' with red in the last six months. Upgraded? Destroyed more like. I guess one mans style is another mans pile.
