There is every chance I could pick up the B660 at the A1 and head South to Kimbolton

I will stop and take a few pics along the way and post tomorrow evening.

Shall we take bets on how low I can get the MPG, I am thinking sub 14 by close play tomorrow

Uppingham’s got murderous speed humps though…
The back road between Melton Mowbray to Colsterworth to Bourne is a good one.
As is the road between Oundle and Weldon/Corby.
Corby itself is a pothole nightmare and, well, Corby

14 sounds about right. These engines are actually pretty economical, over 20 on a steady run is no issue. Equally, 7mpg is also extremely easy if you're having far too much of a good time.
