Probably cheaper full stop. The new Defender is crazy money. Nice though.

Saw a Levante in Chelsea yesterday in a very deep petrol blue. Best looking one I’ve seen yet.

I had a Levante up until recently, very good car and fully loaded with Air suspension, 360 cameras, panoramic roof etc. An absolute bargain 2nd hand. Unique, reliable and classy.

I must say i get so many good comments about the levante people love the car and most haven’t seen a 4x4 Maserati.
It drives and sounds incredible albeit diesel and in my opinion is by far the most aggressive and sporty looking big car out there.

A chap down the road from me had a white one for about 6 months. He hated it….His was anything but reliable and in the end gave up and got the dealer to take it back. He replaced it with Cayenne Coupe thingy and has never looked back. I think his Levante ownership has put him off the marque completely. Maserati still have a big issue with this reputation which is a shame.

That is a shame to hear and wish they do sort out quality control. Touch wood my other older Massers continue to remain reliable Strad and GC.

Our daily drivers are now Audis the A3 & Q3. Saying that though my wife’s top of the range Audi Q3 is in the dealers with a few faults, just bought 2months ago - requiring 2x replacement onboard batteries and new door seal - before they can look at the primary fault with sensor faults appearing on the dash (could be both onboard batteries which are faulty). Pot luck I guess whichever manufacturer you have.

We had numerous new Mercs recently too A, B, E classes and GLA over 6+ years. Never ever buying a Merc again, unreliable and poor quality control is an understatement plus our dealer was useless, Maseratis are far superior in comparison.

Otherside of the coin for me…My 2013 C250 CDI has been nothing but reliable. Build quality is excellent for the class and head and shoulders above the Jaguar XE I had before. I have done 67k in her over 4 years and nothing has gone wrong and fallen off. 116k on her and not a squeak from the interior. I don’t take her to Mercedes dealers though for servicing as they charge stupid money. I use a Mercedes specialist which has done me well. Last service cost £295 and Mercedes wanted £480….

Glad you have a good solid car :) it just seems to be a bit of a lottery whichever manufacturer - some better than others. I definitely hear you about using Indys the only reason I take the cars to dealers as they were all under warranty for repairs, servicing I take them to Indys. I remember taking my 2012 E class estate (2years old at the time) for an oil change, dealer wanted £500 - Indy £125 including Merc Star records. Levante - Gray Paul wanted £1200 for 4 year service, Sheffield SCC Indy less than £500 all in….
