Hahahaha tongue in cheek , you can tell he's an ex Maserati club member just by the price he's asking , although ex B Mcgrath maintained which speaks volumes its not worth that kind of money , possibly £10K over priced

From my viewpoint - if that was available for £20k I'd be very seriously interested.
There are so few Meraks around (for sale), the prices do tend to fall across a very broad range. By comparison, a competitor from Ferrari - a 308, has a number available at any one time, so prices (on the up, dramatically, as it happens) are easier to gauge. There have been a few threads in here about cheap Meraks - how much could one cost to bring up to top condition - I suspect you could put £20-30k into a poor Merak, without too much difficulty. So a good one (assuming this one is; I have only read the briefly worded ad), would be relatively sensible approach to Merak ownership.

By the way, has the idea of a forum car died away?

Not really.........it was sorta guillotined....;)...too many variables /complexities......so will be putting a few bob ( actually a huge numbers of bobs!!) into my Lancia project

I'll have everyone know my Kaz's engine purrs just perfectly , well perfectly enough for this old fart anyway, even when her engine stops she's still got plenty of wind to run those hydaulics , and Frank after chuckling as i do when writing a post like that , she came straight over and has aked me to retract it ,.................................................... yes its all done darling..........................completely deleted
