My condolences….There is nothing that makes me madder than when I realise I crunched a rim

Makes you wonder how much rims on cars, like the Taycan, cost to repair when half of it is carbon fibre. 100305

I feel your pain.
I missed a turning in the City shorty after getting my first GTS, turning into a little road to get back on route, it was narrow, huge ugly granite curbs and a tight turn around a van that was loading.
Two refurbished alloys later - all was good again

Absolutely not, they were gloss black when I bought the car.. didn’t like it, too much black!

What is parked behind Bebs? A bit Lotusie. I am with you on the black wheels. Oh and to cheer you a little, mine was at the garage for vibration yesterday. All 4 wheels are buckled! And I haven't been off roading either!

I believe carbon wheels are scrap when you clout the kerb. As it affects the structural integrity of the wheel.
That was the reason Gordon Murray gave for not using them anyway.
Crikey, yes I can imagine! I'd like understand the advantage if any of these vs magnesium alloys. Carbon doesn't have the same dampening or heat dissipation properties so is the advantage just weight and cost?
